Since we have missed so many days and will miss Monday again, we will have track practice till 4:30 on Friday.  All runners and throwers will be finished at 4:30.  Have a great weekend!

Finally we have sunshine!  Yes we are having practice today.  All runners, shot put and discus girls will practice till 4:30.  All field event and hurdle runners will stay till 5:00.  You need to pick them up at the track.  Please turn T-shirt money in no later then Friday, thanks.  Enjoy the sun !!

Due to the weather, there is no practice today.  We will have practice tomorrow!  Thrower only will get out at 4:30.  Runners only will get out at 4:30-4:45.  Those who run and have hurdles or a field event to work on will get out at 5pm.  Please be on time and pick them up at the Track.

The track t-shirts will be $9 each.  Please send that money tomorrow.

All athletics will now be under Coach Thorn for off season.  Track practice will be after school only.  With this new information track will last till 5pm.

There will be no practice today due to the weather.  Those who can stay and practice on Friday please plan to.

Today your daughter will be given a Track T-shirt order form.  The shirts will be NEON yellow with the Order of Events on the front and the back will say “I have a ‘Run Track’ mind”  White Oak Middle School Track 2014.  Probably not ideal for parents, but the neon will make it easy to spot our girls at a track meet.  They will wear these shirts to school on Track meet days.  Orders MUST be turned in by FRIDAY (Feb. 7th).  Money will not be due until the following week.  The price will range from $6-$10, depending on the amount of T-shirts ordered.  Friday we need the order sheet form back, and then next week will will ask you to send in the money.  If you have any questions please email me at [email protected].

All track meets will start at 3:30.  Field Events and Distance running will start at that time.  Our first meet is Monday, Feb. 24 at Winona.  March 6 is a Thursday Meet at Union Grove, March 18 is a Monday Meet at WO.  We do not have a meet yet scheduled for March 24-28, however, we are looking for a meet.  District will be Tuesday, April 8, at Union Grove.  The High School Track Meet at W.O. will be April 3.  It would nice for the MS girls to support our HS team.

We will have practice today and Thursday till 4:30.  Friday there will be no practice.

There will be no practice this afternoon!  Tomorrow we will plan to have practice until 4:30.  Remember all girls should be picked up at the track.

Monday will start our track season!  The girls who are returning from Basketball will be issued workout shirts on Monday.  The girls need to bring a pair of black shorts to run in.  Please make sure these shorts are appropriate.  All the girls who are throwing will be expected to stay till 4pm.  They may stay later if they wish.  All girls who are running and participating in a field event will be expected to stay till 4:30pm.  Practices may change due to weather so please check my blog daily.  I will post any changes by 2:00pm.  This week we will practice Monday – Thursday.

Our first track meet will be in Winona, February 24.  We have a lot of work to do in just 3 weeks!
